Avenues Pet Clinic traces its roots back to the visionary Dr. Jean Cotton, a trailblazer in Cheyenne's veterinary medicine community. Despite facing challenges as a single mother in 1971, she fearlessly pursued her dream of becoming a veterinarian, establishing an emergency clinic in her garage. In 1983, she opened Avenues Pet Clinic on 8th Avenue, later relocating to its current location. In 2005, Dr. Cotton's daughter, Ruth, and Dr. Rod Hartshorn took ownership, and in 2021, Dr. Ashlee Jones joined as a partner and Medical Director. Under Dr. Jones' guidance, our compassionate team of veterinarians, including Dr. Rod Hartshorn, and Dr. Randy Smith proudly carries on Dr. Cotton's legacy of caring service.
